Job Summary
The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and fabrication-ready files for retail branding and in-store branding projects. The role requires close coordination with the client servicing, production, and execution teams to ensure designs are practical, executable, and aligned with brand guidelines and site conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drawing Development
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for in-store branding elements such as kiosks, signages, wall panels, gondolas, display units, fixtures, and shop-in-shop layouts
- Develop 2D drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and fabrication details
- Convert creative design concepts into production- and execution-ready drawings
- Ensure drawings are accurate in terms of dimensions, materials, and specifications
Site & Execution Coordination
- Incorporate site measurements and store layouts into drawings
- Make revisions as per site constraints, client feedback, or execution requirements
- Support execution teams with technical clarifications during fabrication and installation
- Coordinate with vendors/fabricators to resolve drawing-related queries
Documentation & Version Control
- Maintain drawing versions and revision history
- Prepare drawing sets for client approvals and production use
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and standard operating procedures
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure feasibility of designs with respect to materials, mounting methods, and safety norms
- Cross-check drawings to minimize errors during fabrication and installation
- Follow timelines strictly for drawing submissions and revisions
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory),
- Good knowledge of retail branding materials (ACP, MDF, acrylic, vinyl, metal, LED signage, etc.)
- Understanding of fabrication and installation processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight timelines
- Proven expertise in handling end-to-end project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Strong Knowledge of local building regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- MS Office for coordination and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in B.Arch/Draftsman in Architecture, Civil, or related field
- Prior experience in retail branding, BTL, visual merchandising, or exhibition agencies is preferred
- Exposure to mall branding, modern trade, or PAN‑India store rollouts is an advantage
